Which Type of Applicant Are You?

Whether you’re starting your first college experience, already enrolled at another university or going back to school, we’ll walk you through the process. Review the descriptions below to prepare for your educational journey.

Rolling Admissions

Unlike many colleges that employ early-decision and early-action deadlines, Georgia State admits students on a rolling basis. That means you can apply as early as you’d like, and we’ll let you know whether or not you’ve been admitted as soon as we’ve processed your application and files.

*Note: There is a November 15 deadline for priority consideration for the Honors College and scholarships.

Conditional Acceptance

Some colleges and universities admit students on a conditional basis. That means there are tasks or programs you’ll first need to complete in order to be fully admitted into the school. At Georgia State, we offer two programs to help our students adjust to college-level academics. Once students successfully complete their programs, their admission to the university is confirmed.

*Note: Conditional acceptance is a real admissions decision. It means a school believes in you and sees your potential.
