Matt stares down at his phone in disbelief. 
When he opened Instagram, the last thing he expected to see was a photo of Aphrodite kissing Lydia, her roommate. 
Sure, it could very well be a ploy to make Matt jealous, but even so, the picture made Matt's stomach hurt. 
There are so many possible things this could mean; it made his head spin. 
Lydia could be a rebound for Aphrodite. 
Lydia could be a rebound for Aphrodite, but they could actually end up falling for each other.

Aphrodite could be trying to make Matt jealous. 
Aphrodite could genuinely like Lydia. They could actually be together.
It had been three nights since Delilah and Matt last hung out. Right after the whole FaceTime interaction, she had told Matt that she had to go check on something for her parents at the cafe. Matt had noticed that she seemed suspicious of the call, though, since the triplets had refused to explain any further and tried to change the subject. 
Delilah hasn't texted or call him since, and Matt hasn't texted or called her, either.
But right now, Matt doesn't even care. Right now, Deliliah is the last thing on his mind. 
The only thing that he could focus on right now was Aphrodite Moon, and how it was starting to feel like he really did want her back.

8:12 p.m. 
"Thanks for agreeing to doing that," Aphrodite says to Lydia, an awkward silence encompassing the pair a few minutes after Aphrodite hit 'post' on Instagram.
Lydia laughs nervously. "No problem, Dee. Matt's a dick for what he did."
Aphrodite laughs too, the sound coming out just as awkward as the tense air between them felt. "He is."
"You're a good kisser," Lydia blurts, an immediate look of panic written all over her face the second after she said it. "sh*t, that was weird, sorry."
"No, it's okay... you are too. How about we just don't mention this again and go back to normal?"

"Yeah, good idea," Lydia agrees. "Unless you need to make Matt jealous again." 
The two of them dissolve into actual, genuine laughter now, clutching their stomachs.

12:03 p.m. 
Delilah Valentine sits in the breakroom of Déjà Brew Cafe, staring down at her phone and contemplating hitting call.
After the girl had noticed the tension in the air the other night when Nick had gotten that random FaceTime call, and Matt looked like he had seen a ghost, she started to suspect Matt was hiding something from her. 
She doesn't want to confront him directly about it, because she knows he won't say anything. But she has a feeling that Nick will tell her the truth, and luckily, she had gotten his and Chris' number a few days ago when she met them for the first time. 
She decides that she just needs to rip the band aid off, so she hits call and brings the phone to her ear. 
"Delilah? Hey, what's up?"
She decides to not waste any time.
"Does Matt have a girlfriend?"
The girl hears Nick sigh on the other line.
"He just got out of a relationship about a month ago. And... well, I don't want to be the one to tell you this, but he's clearly not over her. I think that... he's trying to distract himself? I know him better than anyone, and well... I just have a feeling about this. And I'm so sorry Delilah, because you seem like an amazing person, and you don't deserve this at all." 
It stings a little, but she gets it. She feels for Matt. 
"It's okay, Nick. I'd have rather found out now than further down the road, if and when things ever got serious. Thank you."
"You're welcome?" Nick says, although it sounds more like he's asking a question. There's a long pause before he asks, "Wait, so. You're not mad? You're not gonna like... expose him for clout, or something?"
Delilah stays silent, not sure how to respond to that.
"Sorry... joking. That was a joke, but I heard it. Not funny." 
She laughs. "It's okay, Nick. And no, I'm not mad. Matt's a good guy, he deserves to be happy. I'm gonna talk to him. Again, thank you." 
"It's no problem. And for what it's worth... you're a good person too, Del," Nick says, and it sounds like he genuinely means it.
Delilah smiles softly, even though she knows he can't see it, and hangs up the phone.
This was going to be a tough conversation. 
Not so much for her, but for Matt.
