When it comes to Lululemon, you can count on two things: comfort and function. Take its scarf—one side bears plush, textured fleece for extra coziness, while the other side has a soft matte fabric, which is designed with a windproof and water-repellent shell that protects you from the elements.
Plus, it’s packed with a 600-fill power goose down that’s kept us warm on even the chillest commutes. A zippered pocket lets you keep your belongings close to your chest. In terms of styling—we recommend draping the scarf around your neck or tying it into a knot.

How to Find the Right Winter Scarf
The key to finding the best winter scarf for you is to consider your closet. Are your clothes and coats in the greens and grays, or do they fall in the blues and blacks category? You’re most likely going to be wearing a scarf on repeat, so make sure it can coordinate with the majority of your signature colors. From the classic tartan plaid, to textured knits, and solid cashmere, there are a ton of different styles to choose from. A bold color like blue or red is a fashion statement we love, while a muted plaid is a seasonal classic.
Cashmere is the fancier material in this category, for when you’re going out to a party or looking to impress on a day in the office. Wool, on the other hand, is more durable and warmer, but doesn’t feel as soft to the skin as cashmere. Then, there’s a world of knit blends, including our favorite material, merino wool that really does it all.

How to Style A Scarf
There’s a variety of ways to style your winter scarf. But, how you decide to wear it depends on whether you’re looking for it to be the finishing touch to an ensemble, front-line defense against the elements, or both.
Drape It
One of the easiest and simplest ways to style your scarf is to drape it around your neck and let the ends hang down in front. This technique is reserved for style, not for function. Make sure it’s neat and the sides fall at the same length. Draping your scarf works for both casual and formal outfits.
Tie Into A Knot
Similar to a formal necktie, you can tie your scarf to close up your exposed neck and also make a great fashionable addition to your look. The best way to do this is by folding the scarf in half lengthwise and wrapping it around your neck. Then pull the loose end through the opening of the fold. And wallah, you have a classic knot.
Wrap Around
If you’re in a rush out the door and have no time to form a knot, you can still achieve both style and function of the scarf by wrapping it around a few times. This way, you’re not only covering your neck, also shielding your face and ears from the cold.
How We Selected
Each winter, Men's Health style editors try and test different scarves from trusted brands, then narrow down our favorites based on comfort, function, style and price points. Our team put the best scarves for men to the test and worn them during commutes to work, errand runs, casual outings, and winter sports.
