Daniel J. Lee, MD, FACS (2024)

Dr. Daniel Lee is a board-certified hair restoration surgeon with the Anderson Center for Hair in Atlanta, Georgia. He specializes in a variety of hair loss treatments and hair transplant surgical techniques, including both the linear strip (Follicular Unit Transplant, FUT) and single follicle harvesting (Follicular Unit Excision, FUE) techniques. He has performed over 1,000 hair restoration procedures and also treats all types of hair loss non-surgically with techniques including Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) injections, regenerative techniques, Low Level Laser Therapy and using medications.

Dr. Lee earned his undergraduate Bachelor's degree in pharmacy at Rutgers College of Pharmacy in New Jersey before attending Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, where he obtained his medical degree. While there, he was accepted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr. Lee went on to complete his surgical training at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio after receiving an Air Force scholarship. He is board certified in general surgery from the American Board of Surgery and served as a general surgeon as an Air Force major in Warner Robins, Georgia as well as with Kaiser Permanente in Atlanta, Georgia where he served as Chief of Surgery at both Piedmont Hospital and with the Permanente Medical Group. He practiced general surgery for over 20 years. The last five years of his time as a general surgeon were devoted to the care and treatment of those with breast cancer.

In 2017 Dr. Lee transitioned to the field of Hair Restoration and solely practices treating those with hair loss. He is an active member of both the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery (ABHRS) and the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS). He is board certified in Hair Restoration with the ABHRS and serves as a member of the Board of Directors, is on the credentials committee, exam writing committee and administers the oral exam for those pursuing board certification. He is also a member of the pro-bono committee with the ISHRS.

Dr. Lee’s desire to help people drove him into the medical field. He cherishes the interactions he has with his patients. Dr. Lee knows how important it is to listen to their goals and needs, while making them feel comfortable and informed, in order to come up with the best treatment plan.

In his spare time Dr. Lee enjoys time with his rescue pup, Hero and is an avid Atlanta Braves baseball fan. He also enjoys reading and is certified as an Advanced Open Water SCUBA diver, and has logged over 125 ocean dives.
