However, some of the high schools have more difficult curriculum than others. For example, some high schools offer AP classes instead of IB. This definitely has the possibility to affect kids who apply for college depending on which school they come from. There are many studios, classes, and programs that provide the chance for residents to make friends, immerse themselves in the community, and become part of the group. One thing that I do enjoy about the high schools are that they offer a program called Running Start that allows for students to take college level courses, which looks good on college applications. The curriculum at some schools tend to cause an unnaturally competitive environment where students feel the need to compare themselves to others, especially seen in the IB Diploma curriculum. If you’re looking to raise a family in an area that has lots of parks, trails, and out-door themed activities, this is it for you. The community is pretty good and usually nice. However. DuPont is an ok place to visit and I wouldn’t recommend it. The place is pretty small and overall the hotels are ok. I wouldn’t recommend living in any condos as well if you are looking for a home. Get an apartment or consider buying a house. The roads get noisy at night too. Now about the school district! The district there is great and I’ve had a good experience with it. Overall DuPont is a good place, but there aren’t too many things to do and it is very closed off. As someone who loved living here it is a good way to relax and just enjoy life.... The neighborhood i grew up in is occupied by members of the suquamish tribe, so i grew up pretty close with a couple of my cousins. Indianola is the side of our reservation where our sacred beach jeff head is. its the last piece of natural, untouched land that the suquamish tribe owns. You have to be a suquamish tribal member or accompanied by a suquamish tribal member to step foot onto the beach. i would say that my favortite part about living in inidanola is being so close to that beach.... As a smaller community, it is easy to stay updated on all the things that happen. This can be a pro or a con, and as for me, I've experienced both sides. For the time that I have lived in Kingston, I can say that the people you meet, you remember. I have made numerous friends while living here and also lost friends. I have observed my town grow and build new things, one of which was the Kingston Seattle Fast Ferry. My family has been directly affected by the water travel here. My mother probably wouldn't have been able to keep my family housed and financially stable if the Kingston Seattle Fast Ferry hadn't been made to help people commute to Seattle for work easily. The location of our downtown is neatly situated very close to the water travel, this helps plans and travel....
